Starlit nights and camp fire tales. Elephant Pepper Camp is a step back in time with modern comforts.

  • Traditional Italian cuisine
  • The annual Wildebeest migration
  • An array of animals and birds for you to see
  • Night game drives to spot nocturnal creatures

  • Leave the modern world behind, come to this traditional camp in Kenya. Starlit nights, camp fire tales and hurricane lamps, Elephant Pepper Camp is a step back in time but with modern comforts. Evenings by the camp fire and dinner under the stars are a special feature of this tented camp.

This is an original bush camp, eco-friendly, committed to finding a way of life that does not harm the wilderness, revenue from the camp goes back to the local community. This tented camp in Kenya is put up for the season and then packed away to leave no trace behind. The homely atmosphere of this camp is part of its charm.

Clients can relax with nature, no noisy generators, no vehicles passing, no permanent structures jarring the skyline, just the sights and sounds of the bush which completely surround you. The camp is set in the shade of a natural forest overlooking the plains.

It has 8 large light canvas tents with en-suite dressing rooms, safari showers filled with hot water on request and flush toilets. The main dining / bar mess tent offers family style dining with a self service bar. Guests can relax in the separate tented lounge.

The staff are friendly and welcoming. Arriving in camp is like coming home. The appetising food is prepared by chefs trained by the owners family using traditional North Italian recipes mixed with international and local favourites. A barbeque by the camp fire, dinner in the mess tent, or a bush breakfast on the open plains are some of the lasting memories to take home.

    Health:
It is highly recommended that you take membership of the Flying Doctors rescue service for emergency evacuation at a very nominal fee. However, you should carry your own complete holiday / medical insurance. Malarial prophylactics must be taken and can be obtained from your local doctor. As with travel in any part of the world, it is advisable to know your blood type in case of emergency. Please consult your local health authority for up-to-date recommendations and regulations regarding inoculations.
