The Karen Blixen Camp provides guests with a sense of ‘yesteryear’ while being situated on the Mara River bank. Guests on their Kenya vacation can choose from 22 luxury tents.
This Kenya safari lodge is ideally located with the great Masai Mara plains behind the camp and the breathtaking escarpment and Mara River in front. Visitors can watch Zebra, Elephant and Hippo drink at the driver during the day.
Preserving the environment is very much the focus at the Karen Blixen Camp. This Kenya lodging was constructed in an environmentally conscious manner, while all the power is provided by an elaborate solar system. The water is heated by gas burners in order to avoid burning wood or charcoal. The Karen Blixen Camp also supports numerous local community projects and sponsors the local dispensary.
Part of this luxury Kenya Safari Lodge's revenue is also channelled to a Masai village in order to allow the local rural populations to benefit from their natural resources in a sustainable and non-destructive manner.
