Day 1: Fairmont The Norfolk Hotel

Your safari begins in Nairobi. Should you arrive early, you can go on one of the various sightseeing excursions.

Accommodation: Guest accommodation is offered at the city's finest, Fairmont The Norfolk Hotel on a bed and breakfast basis. Rooms have an en suite bathroom with bath and shower, a mini bar, TV and radio, direct dial telephone and air-conditioning.

The activities and facilities at this Kenya Hotel include a swimming pool, shops and news stands and a health club.

Days 2 - 3: Borana Game Ranch

In the morning you take a flight into Kenya's northern frontier followed by a Land Rover transfer into an immense private conservation ranch. The 'Laikipia' region of northern Kenya has become a model for wildlife conservation and sustainable development.

Individual reserves, some as large as 100,000 acres, have been protected from too much agricultural and cattle farming, to protect the natural wildlife and beautiful bushlands. You will arrive at your luxurious Kenya safari accommodation in time for lunch.

Accommodation:

Guests are accommodated at Borana Ranch, a small, luxurious family-hosted lodge, offering Kenya accommodation in private and spacious guest cottages with spectacular views.

Some of the animals that can be spotted on game drives and guided walks include Wild Dog, Spotted Hyaena, Striped Hyaena, Lion, Leopard, Cheetah, Elephant, Common Zebra, Grevy's Zebra, Warthog, a very large variety of buck and Buffalo.

Day 4: Fairmont Mount Kenya Safari Club

Day 4 will be taken at a leisurely pace due to the roads. Most of the morning will be spent on the ranch, and in the afternoon you'll make your way back up the escarpment to Mount Kenya. The evening is spent in the historic splendour of the Fairmont Mount Kenya Safari Club on your luxury Kenya safari. If you arrive early enough, you'll be able to visit the famous Animal Orphanage before the gourmet dinner.

Accommodation:

Fairmont Mount Kenya Safari Club is located on the slopes of Mount Kenya and offers luxury rooms with a private bathroom and a log fireplace. Facilities available at this lodge in Kenya include a swimming pool, tennis court and 9-hole golf course. Game viewing, bird watching and horseriding are also available.

Days 5 - 7: Governors Il Moran Camp

On day 5, there is a morning flight into Kenya's finest game reserve, the Masai Mara. Arriving in time for lunch, you get to eat and then go on an afternoon game viewing. The next 3 will be spent at the luxury camp of Il Moran.

Accommodation:

Guests at Governors Il Moran Camp are accommodated in safari tents situated along the banks of the Mara River. Each room is superiorly furnished  and the beds have been hand carved.

Three game drives are offered at this camp. On safari you get to wander through the rolling grasslands and mighty rivers. Lion, Cheetah, Leopard, Wildebeest, hartebeest, topi, and Eland dot the region in large numbers. Other activities include hot air balloon rides and cultural village tours which can be booked separately.

Day 8: Depart

After a full morning of game viewing, fly back to Nairobi, where you'll be returned to your private room at The Norfolk Hotel. Your driver returns in the evening to transfer you to the airport for your departures home.
